Antonov and TAQNIA Signed Agreement On AN−132 Production

On February 21, 2016, Mykhaylo Gvozdov, President of Antonov Company, and Ali Mohammed Al−Ghamdi, CEO of Taqnia Aeronautics Co., signed an agreement on cooperation for establishment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of aircraft manufacturing complex and AN−132 production in cooperation with Antonov Company.
The signing ceremony was held at AFED−2016 in presence of Mr. Mohammed Al−Ayish, Assistant Secretary of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Turki bin Saud Mohammed A. Al−Saud and other officials of the KSA.
This agreement sets certain plans as for delivery, organization of operation, after-sale support of Antonov aircraft of the AN−132, AN−148 families and AN−178.
It also concerns further joint works on organization of cooperative production of the AN−132 in KSA.
“It is very important event in our cooperation with partners from Saudi Arabia. Today we made the certain step in our relations based on the preliminary agreements. This document could be considered as the roadmap for our interaction by joint programmes,” said Mykhaylo Gvozdov.
Antonov and TAQNIA Will Cooperate In A Sphere of Aviation Materials

Оn February 21, at the AFED−2016 exhibition, Antonov Company and Taqnia Aeronautics Co. signed the Agreement on cooperation and arrangement of relations in a sphere of aviation materials as for joint development of metallic and non−metallic materials to be used in production of Antonov aircraft.
The document signed by Mykhaylo Gvozdov, President of Antonov Company, and Ali Mohammed Al−Ghamdi, CEO of Taqnia Aeronautics Co., confirms interests of both companies in common and agreed measures concerning studying and organization of production of aviation materials including those of polymeric composites in KSA.
"We appreciate this new direction of cooperation with our partners from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In particular, they produce wide spectrum of alluminium alloys, which can be utilized in Antonov aircraft. Besides, construction of non−metallic including composite materials is under active development in the country. Cooperation with Saudi Arabia in this direction will provide our airplanes with high−technological aviation materials", said Mr. Oleksandr Kotsiuba First Vice President of Antonov Company.
"Our country is interested in joint studies and potential of using its products in Antonov aircraft. This is a new important step towards cooperation between our companies and our countries," noted Ali Mohammed Al−Ghamdi.
