The Rafale combat aircraft will take part, for the first time, in a NATO exercise taking place Sept. 25-30 2006.

Designated “Tiger Meet,” the exercise will take place at Albacete air base, in Spain. Two Rafale F2 aircraft belonging to the French Air Force’s “Cote d’Argent” squadron based in Mont-de-Marsan, and which is the Rafale operational trials unit, will participate, as well as six Mirage 2000 RDI interceptors based in Cambrai.

The “Tiger Meet” exercise takes place every two years in a different country, and is attended by NATO units having a tiger as their emblem, as is the case for the “Cote d’Argent” squadron.
