Senate Testimony on UAV Proliferation

 The U.S. Senate's Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on International Security, Proliferation and Federal Services held hearings on June 11 on Cruise Missile and UAV Threats to the United States."

Vann Van Diepen, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Nonproliferation, told the committee that UAVs are potential delivery systems for weapons of mass destruction, and "there is a potential for terrorist groups to produce or acquire small UAVs and use them for CBW (chemical and biological weapons) delivery."
