 J. D. Crouch, the DoD's assistant secretary of Defense for International Security Policy, briefed reporters on Jan. 9 on the results of the Nuclear Posture Review.
This entails a substantial reduction of nuclear warheads and the reorganization of nuclear forces. (click here for related Pentagon news story.)
Also participating were Rear Adm. Barry M. Costello, deputy director for Strategy and Policy, Joint Staff; John Harvey, director, Office of Policy, Planning, Assessment and Analysis, Department of Energy; and Richard McGraw, principal deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.
