During the briefing, Lt. Gen. Fred McCorkle, deputy commandant of the Marine Corps for Aviation released initial details of the crash, and announced that the US Marine Corps had decided to ground the MV-22 Osprey pending an investigation.
He also answered reporters' questions on the accident and the program's future.
