Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu Held Single Day of Military Production Acceptance

Today, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has held single day of military production acceptance.

According to General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, State Defence Order for armament and military hardware 2016 has been accomplished by 98.2 percent, and by 95.6 percent for repair of the hardware.

The head of the defence department suggested that defence industrial companies should introduce military hardware in the Armed Forces every quarter instead of at the end of a year.

In his report, the Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov stated that active work of industrial companies had allowed to raise the rate of modern hardware in the Armed Forces. It has reached 58.3 per cent.

According to Yuri Borisov, these results correspond to the schedule and obligations of the Russian Armed Forces to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The rate of new samples of armament, military and special hardware is to reach not less than 70 per cent by 2020.

In his turn, the Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov stated that more than 2,877 objects of military and social infrastructure had been constructed in 2016. This exceeds the result of the previous year by 33 percent. According to Timur Ivanov, 3,166 constructions are to be built in 2017.

Commanders of responsible units of arms and services reported on finishing of works held at objects of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Land Forces, and military districts.
