The French Aerospace Industry Will Be Present In Force at the 2017 Dubai Airshow

PARIS --- GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association, is a 40-strong delegation of French companies to the Dubai Airshow from 12-16 November 2017. They will be showcasing their know-how at the French pavilion or taking their own stands. The firms include prime contractors, equipment manufacturers, SMEs and maintenance specialists.

By making this impressive showing, French industry again leads the European industries taking part in the Dubai Airshow, just as it did two years ago. It goes to underscore the mutual commitment between the United Arab Emirates and the aerospace industry, which is a strategic development priority of the Emirates.

The French aerospace industry is eager to continue its cooperation with the United Arab Emirates that has made aeronautics the cornerstone of the latter’s economic and scientific development efforts. Their scope has now been extended to the space sector, which for the first time is a key aspect of this air show.

The companies federated by GIFAS in the French Pavilion France (stand no. 840) for this 2017 Airshow are: AAA, Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, Ateliers de la Haute Garonne, Bolloré Logistics, Dedienne Aerospace, Eurep Industries, Lacroix, Laroche Group, Lumiscaphe, Nicomatic, Novae Aerospace, Nyco, Orolia, Rafaut, Revima, Sabena technics, Safran, Saft, Thales, Tucana Engineering, UUDS Aéro and Weare Group.

Moreover, Airbus, Akka Technologies, ATR, Dassault Aviation, ECA Group, Glenair France, MBDA, Rafale International, Satori, Sogitec and Zodiac Aerospace are exhibiting on their own stands.

GIFAS is also delighted that so many small and medium French firms have seized the opportunity offered by the Airshow and joined the adventure in search of success and setting up local partnerships” declared Eric Trappier, GIFAS Chairman, on the eve of the Airshow opening.


GIFAS has 381 member companies that represent the aeronautics, defence and space sectors and generate combined sales worth € 60 billion. Export sales account for 86% of consolidated sales. GIFAS also organizes the Paris-Le Bourget Airshow.
