“We consider that it is extremely important to be able to offer to the Army an armored vehicle made in the country, taking into account multiple strategic and economic reasons. The manufacturing of the vehicle by CN Romarm based on a joint venture with a renowned company as Rheinmetall makes possible the development of the national experience in this domain and the development of the national industry horizontally, while from the economic-social perspective it will generate working places, additional revenue for the state budget and social insurance budget, new technologies for the factories, as well as less costs for maintenance for the entire life cycle.
“Surely this is a key moment in revitalizing the national defense industry and we hope for the series production to start soon”, declared Neculai Banea, state secretary for defense industry at the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Relations with the Business Environment.
