Boeing To Upgrade NATO AWACS (June 20)

The Boeing Co., Information Space and Defense Systems, Seattle is being awarded a $20,532,130 contract modification for the NATO E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System Mid-Term Modernization Program resolution of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources issues.

This Time & Materials and Labor Hours contract modification places responsibility on the contractor for resolving programming DMS issues for a period of performance through 14 February 2003. This effort supports foreign military sales to NATO.

Boeing Co. will perform this effort at the following locations: The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash. (39 percent); General Dynamics Canada LTD, Ontario, Canada (32 percent); EDS Deutschland, Airborne Systems Division, Ulm, Germany (29 percent).

Total funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by February 2003. Negotiations were completed June 2002.
