Alenia Aeronautica, the leader of the Finmeccanica fixed-wing aeronautics business, will display its full range of technologies and solutions at the Paris International Air Show at Le Bourget (15 – 21 June 2009). This is the largest global showcase for aerospace technology and the defence and security industry, and the event which most represents current trends in the international market.
The Alenia Aeronautica contribution to a safer and more secure world, which is theme of the Finmeccanica presence which includes the entire group presence in aerospace, defense and security, will be visible in military aircraft such as the cutting-edge Eurofighter swing-role fighter, the successful C-27J airlifter, the complete range of Alenia Aermacchi trainer aircraft (from the M-346 “Master”, recently selected by the UAE, to the M-311, MB-339, SF-260), the ATR 42MP maritime patrol turboprop and two unmanned air systems (the Sky-Y and Neuron UCAV demonstrators).
Many of these aircraft will also take part in the daily flying program.
In addition to their individual qualities, all Alenia Aeronautica aircraft are designed to be networked in the system approach visible in the large Finmeccanica stand and demonstration area, which displays additional products and their models.
The interaction of simulators, real products and a global scenario will be displayed and functioning from control rooms in three sites in Rome, London and Washington and directly linked to the Strategic Situation Centre in Paris, showing the operation of a command and control system in action.
