Bell-Boeing To Build 18 MV-22 Ospreys (Aug. 2)

Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $1,502,000,000 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-99-C-0183) for the procurement of nine Fiscal Year (FY) 2001 and nine FY 2002 MV-22 (Marine variant) low rate initial production aircraft; and two CV-22 (Air Force variant) FY 2002 Production Representative Test Vehicle aircraft, including required tooling and miscellaneous support.

Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (50 percent); Fort Worth, Texas (35 percent); and Amarillo, Texas (15 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2004 (MV-22 aircraft) and October 2005 (CV-22 aircraft).
