AgustaWestland has won contracts worth more than EUR 130 million at Heli-Expo 2010 (HAI) exhibition held in Houston, USA, from February 21st to 23rd.
In particular, AgustaWestland has sold
-- 10 AW139s to Era Helicopters and 4 AW139s to Bristow Group Inc. for transportation duties in the Oil & Gas market;
-- 4 helicopters including the AW119Ke, Grand and AW139 models to Esperia Aviation Services S.p.A. and
-- 2 Grand New aircraft to Vinair Aeroserviços S.A. for corporate transport;
-- 1 AW109 Power to the Japanese company Kaigai Aviotech.
Moreover, one Grand New was bought by the speed record breaker Scott Kasprowicz who's committed to set a new around world flight speed record with his AgustaWestland helicopter.
Contracts signed during the exhibition, involving the AgustaWestland range of commercial helicopters in the single, light twin and medium twin engine classes, confirm AgustaWestland product range as one of the most competitive on the world market.
