The Support Systems Associates Inc., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $440,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for non-personal engineering, software, logistics and program management administration support services required by the Special Operations Forces (SOF) System Program Office (SPO). This acquisition will encompass both advisory and assistance (A&AS) and non A&AS.
The government will obtain engineering, software logistics and program office support services for, but not limited to, the following weapon systems: AC-130H, AC-130U, MC-130U, MC-130E, MC-130H, MC-130P, C-141B/C-17 SOLL, MH-53J, MH53M, HH-60G, CH-4E, HH3E, UH-1N, CV-22, associated technical orders, aircraft systems, subsystems, avionics and support equipment.
This effort may support foreign military sales to countries not yet to be determined. The Air Force can issue delivery orders to all three contractors totaling up to the maximum amount indicated, though actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above.
Work will be performed at Robbins Air Force Base, Ga., contractor facilities and other locations supporting the SOF SPO and its customers. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Solicitation began January 2002, and negotiations were completed July 2002.
