The Applied Technologies business of BAE SYSTEMS North America has been awarded a five-year, $7.9 million contract from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Newport, Rhode Island. Under the contract, BAE SYSTEMS will provide engineering and technical services for U.S. Navy Submarine Sonar Installations.
In support of this effort, BAE SYSTEMS will provide installation design, feasibility studies, review of documentation, and development of ILS programs and documentation for the AN/BQQ-5, BQQ-6, AN/BSY-1 and 2, ARCI, and New Attack Submarine Sonars. BAE SYSTEMS is the prime contractor and teamed with McLaughlin Research Corporation, BBN Technologies, Sonalysts, Inc., and Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow, Inc., for this competition. The work will be performed primarily by personnel at the BAE SYSTEMS New England Operation, located in Middletown, Rhode Island, USA.
