BAE Wins French Radar Contract (Feb. 28)



The Technical Services business unit of BAE SYSTEMS North America has been awarded a contract worth approximately 27 million Euros ($27.1 million) to manufacture and install three trajectory tracking radar for the DGA/SPAe (French MOD Defense Procurement Agency, Aeronautics Directorate). The contract also includes options for additional radar.

The ground-based radar will be used by the French Air Force to support test and evaluation requirements at various firing ranges in France. Work on this contract will be performed in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Installation and training will be provided by BAE SYSTEMS employees at various locations in France.

"This contract award continues our success in providing instrumentation systems to support major test and evaluation facilities at worldwide locations," said Richard L. "This win complements BAE SYSTEMS' extensive record of providing engineering, technical services, and depot and logistics support for 180 range instrumentation radar at 40 test facilities worldwide. We are confident that this contract will result in a long-term partnership that will be mutually beneficial to DGA/SPAe and BAE SYSTEMS."
