Agusta Scores Sales Success in China
;Agusta, a Finmeccanica Company, has been awarded a contract by the People Republic of China's aviation industry's CATIC/AVIC to design and develop the transmission for a new 5 ton chinese helicopter together.
;The value of initial contract stands at approximately 30 US$ Million. Agusta won the contract against strong international competition from the major helicopter manufacturers.
;The selection of Agusta for this program is a further confirmation of Agusta's world-wide leadership in a high-technology field such as helicopter transmissions. In fact, Agusta is responsible for the design, development and production of the transmissions in all the most important ongoing helicopter programs, such as the EH101, AB139 and NH90.
;This contract follows the sale of the first A109 Power to the city of Dalian, China, and opens exciting new opportunities for Agusta in the Chinese market.
