The Czech Republic And The United Kingdom Co-Operate On The Development And Procurement Of Defence Equipment
;Mr John Spellar, Under Secretary of State for Defence, and Mr Jindrich Tomas, the Czech Deputy Minister of Defence, today signed a memorandum of understanding ( MOU ) on defence equipment cooperation. ;The MOU is intended to encourage the exchange of ideas and the establishment of joint projects between the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic in the development and procurement of defence equipment. ;Mr Spellar, who was visiting the international defence equipment exhibition in Brno, said : ;"I am delighted to be able to sign this memorandum today, as it will provide an excellent framework for development of equipment cooperation between our two countries. It will help foster the relationship between our defence industries and I hope it will create more opportunities for them to work together in the future".
