EL SEGUNDO, Calif. --- Computer Sciences Corporation announced today that it has received a task order from the Naval Sea Systems Command to provide professional services to the Program Executive Office Aircraft Carriers (PEO Carriers). CSC estimates the value of the task order, which has a two-year base period, three one-year option periods and seven one-year award term periods, to be approximately $55 million if all options and award terms are exercised.
Under the task order, CSC will provide PEO Carriers with a full range of professional support services including program management and integrated logistics support.
"Program Executive Office Aircraft Carriers acquires and operates the ships and systems crucial to the United States' ability to counter threats around the world," said Aaron Fuller, vice president and general manager of CSC's Navy/Marine Corps and Missile Defense organization. "CSC is pleased to support PEO Carriers and contribute to the success of these complex ships and weapon systems that will serve the U.S. Navy and the nation for decades to come."
PEO Carriers is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of all U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. This includes responsibility for in-service carriers, the CVN 68 Class Refueling and Complex Overhaul program, the CVN 77 new construction program, and the CVN 21 future aircraft carrier program.
