The Secretary of the Department of Defence has received reports from the Inspector General of Defence and the AIR 9000 Probity Adviser regarding their review of issues raised concerning aspects of the evaluation of responses to the request for proposals on project AIR 9000.
The Secretary has accepted the findings that there was no evidence of improper conduct, bias or unethical behaviour during the evaluation process.
The AIR 9000 project will equip the Australian Army with additional troop lift helicopters, and rationalise the overall number of helicopter types operated by the Australian Defence Force.
