Alliant Lake City Small Caliber Ammunition Co. L.L.C., Independence, Mo., was awarded on March 17, 2004, a delivery order amount of $140,171,449 as part of a $256,356,079 firm-fixed-price contract for various quantities of small caliber ammunition.
Work will be performed in Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were two bids solicited on July 30, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
