PARIS --- As part of its standing commitment to provide the best possible service to its hundreds of thousands of users across the world, defense-aerospace.com today went live with a new home page featuring major functional improvements. These include:
News Search:
A new search box, immediately visible at the top of the home page, allows users to search across all content categories by keyword. This search engine covers only the current and previous month, and accepts Boolean search terms.
Home Page for PDAs and Mobile Telephones:
A fully functional version of the service is now available for users of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and mobile telephones. Log-in and other functionalities are identical to the standard version. To view this version, type www.defense-aerospace.com/mobile in the browser of your PDA or mobile telephone.
Free daily newsletter:
Originally available only by subscription, the daily newsletter is now available free of charge.
The newsletter, published each week-day at about 12:00 GMT, lists all material posted during the previous 24 hours, and features clickable headlines.
To subscribe, click on the “subscribe” link below the main logo. Subscribers can temporarily suspend and resume their subscription by typing their e-mail address in the box at the bottom of the subscription page, and selecting the preferred option in the menu.

Like the two other news wires, this section is now part of the Premium subscription service, and only available to subscribers or on a pay-per-view basis.
Likewise, the contents pages of the three news wires, accessible by clicking on the “see all items” tabs, are now only available to subscribers.
Color-coding:
All sections of the service available free of charge are marked in blue.
All subscription-only sections are marked in orange.
Core Content Unchanged:
All other sections and services remain unchanged compared to the previous version.
