Anteon Wins $500m IT Services Deal (Jan. 23)

FAIRFAX, Va.---Anteon Corporation, a leading information technology and e-business solutions company, today announced that it has been awarded the recently competed Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition) Technical and Analytical Support (SAFTAS) valued in excess of $500 million over 15 years if all options are exercised. This cost-plus- award-fee contract has a base period of three years, and four option periods, which extend the term of the contract to 2015. The contracting agency is the Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Under the contract, Anteon and its subcontractors will provide comprehensive acquisition management advisory and analytical services to the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ), including the Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO).

Work will include consulting services targeting a broad range of acquisition-related functions, including: budgeting and financial processes; strategic planning and process improvement; reduction in total ownership cost strategic planning, workforce training; and acquisition program analysis, including weapon system programs; among several other services areas.
