PARIS – Defense-aerospace.com, the leading online news service for the aerospace and defense industries, today announced a change in the content of its Premium Service subscription.
The live news feed hitherto provided by The Associated Press has been discountinued with immediate effect.
This will not affect the two other live news feeds, provided by Reuters and Agence France-Presse, which will continue to function as previously.
“A year after the launch of our Premium Service, we decided to restructure our news content and to concentrate on the two news wires best focused on the needs of our professional readers,” said Giovanni de Briganti, editor and publisher of defense-aerospace.com. “This will allow us to better avoid content duplication while reducing our subscription rates. The net effect will be to improve the cost-effectiveness of our Premium Service.”
Effective Aug. 1, 2004, a Premium Service annual subscription will cost 245 euros, down from 290 euros, while a six-month subscription will cost 70 euros, down from 89 euros.
To compensate current subscribers, the validity of their existing subscriptions will be extended by 45 days.
“As part of our commitment to provide the most effective online news service, we will continue to look for ways to improve our editorial content,” de Briganti said. “We do not exclude adding other features in future, possibly including live news feeds from other sources.”
