Boeing Sells ARGOSystems Electronic Warfare Product Line



; SUNNYVALE, Calif. --- The Boeing Company today announced the sale of the electronic warfare (EW) product line of ARGOSystems, Inc. to Condor Systems, Inc., headquartered in San Jose, CA. The transaction, completed on June 23, included sale of the trade name "ARGOSystems.''
; Founded in 1969, ARGOSystems, Inc. became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company in 1987. Boeing will maintain an engineering and business facility in the area, operating as Boeing Sunnyvale, Inc., part of the Information & Communications business segment.
; Electronic warfare products included in the transaction include electronic support measures and electronic counter-measures equipment for predominantly naval customers.
; "This move allows further strengthening of our focus on core competencies and provides good career opportunities for the former ARGOSystems employees who will continue to work on EW products with Condor Systems,'' said Ken Medlin, vice president and general manager, Information & Communications Systems. "We were particularly pleased with the depth and strength of Condor's commitment to meeting ARGOSystems' customer commitments, including warranty and support obligations.'';
