Additional MLRS Launchers For Korea (Mar. 19)



Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control - Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded two letter contract modifications to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-00-C-0109. Modification 12 is for $10,531,000, to exercise a not-to-exceed option for ten sets of M270/M270A1 common components of the Multiple Launch Rocket System for the country of Korea.

The not-to-exceed total is $21,062,000; additional funding will be added at definitization.

Modification 13 is for $31,661,410, to exercise a not-to-exceed option for 19 launchers (M270) for the Multiple Launch Rocket System for the country of Korea. The not-to-exceed total is $63,322,820; additional funding will be added at definitization.

Work for both modifications will be performed in East Camden, Ark. (75%), and Grand Prairie, Texas (25%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 16, 2001.

The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
