Battelle Details $500M USAF Contract (May 6)

COLUMBUS, Ohio --- Battelle has been awarded a $500 million contract to design, develop, construct, and implement a lean transformation of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities and operations at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

"We're excited about the opportunity to lead this critically important Air Force initiative," said Pete Hennessey, VP for Battelle's Air Force Sector. "Battelle has led successful transformation partnerships with agencies across the federal government, and we're leveraging that experience, with a world- class industry team, to make a real difference in this depot's ability to support the warfighter."

Battelle will lead a team of companies through the process, which is intended to rapidly and dramatically improve operating and financial efficiencies within Tinker Air Force Base.
