;

URBANA, Ohio---AlliedSignal Inc. announced today that it has been selected to provide the flight instrument displays for the South Korean Air Force's KTX-2 aircraft.

The deal is valued at $31 million over 20 years, based on the entire order of KTX-2 aircraft.

AlliedSignal Aerospace's Grimes Lighting business will provide eight three-inch flight instrument displays per aircraft, including the Horizontal Situation Indicator, Attitude Director Indicator, Mach Speed Indicator and Electronic Altimeter.

The KTX-2 is a supersonic fighter-trainer built by South Korea-based Samsung in partnership with Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems. The aircraft is scheduled to receive certification in 2002.

"We're honored to continue our relationship with Samsung through their selection of our flight instruments for South Korea's flagship combat aircraft program,'' said Charles D. Sheets, Director of Marketing and Sales, Grimes Lighting, AlliedSignal Aerospace. "They were especially pleased that we could provide them a wide array of display options in a single integrated component, which can help minimize their inventory costs.''
