AMS, Titan Team For Warfighting IT Support (Nov. 7)
FAIRFAX, Va.---American Management Systems announced today that it is a subcontractor to Titan Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Titan Corporation on an Army Program Management Support Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) worth $277 million over the next seven years.
The BPA was issued by the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command Acquisition Center-Washington. AMS and Titan will provide a broad range of software acquisition management oversight, business process improvement consulting, and program management support services to the Army Program Executive Office for Standard Army Management Information Systems (PEO STAMIS) headquarters and its program directorates.

"Not only will we advance information superiority on the battlefield, but the members of Team Titan will also improve warfighter capabilities through more effective information systems acquisition and knowledge management.''

The PEO STAMIS mission is to plan, design, develop, acquire, install and maintain highly complex management information systems for Army and Joint Service customers. Currently, PEO STAMIS has responsibility for 39 information technology (IT) programs and projects involved with logistics, personnel, transportation and medical systems.
