FAIRFAX, Va.---American Management Systems announced today that it is a subcontractor to Titan Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Titan Corporation on an Army Program Management Support Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) worth $277 million over the next seven years.

The BPA was issued by the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command Acquisition Center-Washington. AMS and Titan will provide a broad range of software acquisition management oversight, business process improvement consulting, and program management support services to the Army Program Executive Office for Standard Army Management Information Systems (PEO STAMIS) headquarters and its program directorates.

"We're proud to be part of Team Titan as we expand AMS's support to America's soldiers to include assisting in the enhancement of software acquisition oversight and improvement of enterprise business processes used within the STAMIS organization,'' said Al Rogers, senior vice president and general manager of AMS's federal defense group. "Not only will we advance information superiority on the battlefield, but the members of Team Titan will also improve warfighter capabilities through more effective information systems acquisition and knowledge management.''

"AMS is one of five subcontractors on Team Titan,'' said Earl Pontius, President and General Manager of Titan's Technical Resources Group. "In selecting the team for PEO STAMIS, we combined the best of program management support service experience with the best of enterprise process improvement experience. We are fully committed to PEO STAMIS success.''
