Boeing Wins $2bn Order for 10 Additional C-17s
McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $2,000,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract.
This is an undefinitized contract action for the acquisition of ten (10) Block 18 configured C-17 aircraft. The ten aircraft are a follow-on acquisition to the original 180 C-17 aircraft.
At this time, $980,000,000 have been obligated. This work will be complete October 2009.
Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8614-06-D-2006-0002).
