Aero Vodochody's Tests Flights Development Department has finished Flutter flight tests of the Ae 270 civilian aircraft, production No. 0001. The objective was to fully release the altitude and speed flight envelope, which until now had been limited. Parallel to the Flutter tests, which lasted almost one month, other flight tests were performed. At the end of testing, exacting evaluation by experts from the Aero-elasticity Department commenced directly on the site of Aero Vodochody.
The tests proved that the Ae 270 aircraft may be safely operated in the entire range of expected operational speeds and altitudes. The quality of construction of the Ae 270 from the point of view of flutter and the quality and compliance of tests with the requirements of FAR 23 is evidenced by the fact that the Civil Aviation Authority decided to cancel the next planned flutter certification test and recognized the completed test as a certification test
