Air Methods Orders 10 More AS350B2 Helos

PARIS AIRSHOW 2007 --- Air Methods Corporation has further boosted the number of AS350s ordered from American Eurocopter this year, adding a new batch of 10 helicopters to the 20 already purchased so far in 2007.

These AS350 B2s are to be delivered next year, and will be used in Air Methods’ expanding operations as the largest air medical transportation provider in the United States.

The latest order, which was signed today at the 2007 Paris Air Show, underscores the AS350’s value in the medical services marketplace – combining its single-engine efficiency with a spacious, open cabin.

Air Methods has a long-term commitment to the acquisition of AS350s, signing a Memorandum of Understanding last year to buy 10 AS350 B2/B3s from American Eurocopter annually and indefinitely. In March, Air Methods announced it was going beyond the 10-helicopter commitment for 2007, adding another 10 AS350B2s that also will be produced for deliveries in 2008.

With today’s contract bringing Air Methods’ total AS350s bookings to 30 this year, the operator further reinforces its position as a major user of American Eurocopter helicopters, as well as a leading AStar family customer.

Established in 1992, the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group is a Division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defence and related services. The Eurocopter Group employs approx. 14,000 people. In 2006, Eurocopter confirmed its position as the world’s No. 1 helicopter manufacturer with a turnover of 3.8 billion euros, orders for 615 new helicopters, and a 52% percent market share in the civil and parapublic sectors.
