The Ambassador of the United States of America, Bijan Sabet, informed today that the United States, as part of foreign military cooperation, will provide the Czech Republic with an additional 200 million dollars as partial compensation for the equipment that the Czech Republic provided to Ukraine.

"We greatly appreciate this help, which we perceive as an expression of appreciation for how the Czech Republic has been helping Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict. We will use the funds to further modernize our army," said Defense Minister Jana Černochová, adding that negotiations on specific projects will still be held.

The newly announced 200 million dollars (converted to approx. 4.4 billion crowns) will come from the Foreign Military Financing program. This is another donation in addition to the previously announced $100 million, which is also intended for the further modernization of the Army of the Czech Republic and for partial compensation of our supplies of material to Ukraine, and another already mentioned six million dollars from the Fund for Countering Russian Influence intended for building so-called deployable cyber protection teams that will be created within the Czech Army.
