"Lithuania's contribution to the fight for Ukraine's freedom already amounts to millions of ammunition and thousands of weapons, and the return received is valuable lessons learned and Lithuanian defense strengthened. Lithuania continues its uninterrupted support to Ukraine, which is celebrating the 32nd anniversary of its independence today, and the total amount of military support to Ukraine since the beginning of the war has already exceeded half a billion euros," says Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas.

On the occasion of the anniversary of Ukraine's independence, Lithuania is sending another package of military support worth 41 million. euros, and it contains Carl Gustaf ammunition, rifles, maritime surveillance radar sets, 5.56 mm ammunition, generators, anti-drones and more. support Missile launch systems for NASAMS will also be transferred to Ukraine.

During the first seven months of this year, the military support already transferred by Lithuania to Ukraine includes Mi-8 helicopters, L-70 anti-aircraft guns with ammunition, M113 armored personnel carriers, millions of cartridges, grenade launcher ammunition.

Lithuania also prepares expert consultations, allocates funds to international support funds for Ukraine, contributes to the training of Ukrainian soldiers, conducts courses for them, Lithuanian army instructors also participate in the "Interflex" operation, during which together with other NATO allies, they teach Ukrainian soldiers the subtleties of combat.

Ukrainian soldiers wounded in battles are recovering or recovering in Lithuania. Treatment and rehabilitation institutions have already received about 200 wounded defenders of Ukraine, and it is planned to receive even more.
