UOP Expands UGV Line

Specialists of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom” are developing new models of unmanned military vehicles, based on UGV “Phantom.” This was stated by Deputy Director General for Aircraft Industry and Operations Volodymyr Korobov.

“Military equipment of the 21st century is to completely eliminate human factor in resolving conflicts. The use of unmanned technology is to become a priority for the armed forces. That is why we are developing this technology in Ukraine, setting up its production” said Volodymyr Korobov.

He added that UGV “Phantom” is being successfully tested and the State Concern is ready to launch its production for Ukrainian army as soon as receives the order.

UGV “Phantom” became one of the outstanding innovations during the international defense exhibition IDEX-2017, which lasted from 19 to 23 February in the city of Abu Dhabi (UAE). “Phantom” took 2nd place in Defence Blog ranking as the most outstanding fighting vehicle of the exhibition.
